Today, I am going to start a study in Romans.
Romans 1:1-6
What an amazing testimony to who Jesus is! In these 6 verses, Paul has outlined all the salient points. He is David's heir as well as God's son, which we know by his death & resurrection. He is the fulfillment of all the OT prophecies. It is for and by Him that we have received grace & share it w/ others. In other words, Christ is the reason we have hope for living, and we need to share that hope w/ others.
Lord, thank you for the awesome work you did yesterday, showing me all those great people on campus. As I start my first day of college classes, please help me be a light for you. Show me the opportunities where I can let you shine through.
Today was the first day of class, but all I had was Nature & Human Values. My other two classes were labs, so they were both cancelled since we hadn't had lecture yet. Since I had such a lot of extra time, I walked down to the Golden Public Library and checked out some books. It only took about 10 minutes to get down there, but coming back was all up hill and man! was it a trek! I think I hurt one of the toes on my left foot, because they sure hurt. I don't know how often I'll be making that trip to the library. I went to dinner w/ my suitemate Jessica. She's a nice girl, and I think I'll get along w/ her best of all. She brought a car and she lives in Ault, so maybe she'll be willing to take me home on some weekends. I then went to the FCA game night and had a ton of fun playing Scattergories, Guesstures, & Big Booty! I'm sure Elsbeth will be happy to hear that!
